Remodels And Relocation

Relocate While You Remodel

relocation flipping I have bought many homes over the years and lived in them while I remodeled them only to flip the property a few months down the road. The one thing that was always an issue with me was moving furniture and belongings from room to room as I remodeled. These days I don’t stay in my house much longer than I need to.  I typically prep the home and move my things out into a storage unit before I begin the remodeling process. More recently I have been in a position to purchase multiple homes at a time while remodeling them simultaneously. This approach has left me with out a place to stay as I have jumped from place to place while I prep the home to remodel. That got old real quick, so I decided to purchase a more permanent residence. I hired a relocation moving service in New Jersey called Blue Bell Relocation. They helped me move my belongings out of storage and relocated me across town in another part of New Jersey. Relocating was the best decision I could have made because living in my investments while I remodeled them was not pleasant.

Flipping Homes For Profit

Buying and selling homes for a living can be pretty rough. Doing it while you still occupy the property is even harsher. I fought through the headache of managing the remodel while I lived there but wouldn’t recommend you doing you doing it yourself. If you can find a permanent place to relocate and set up shop, then managing your rental homes and remodels will be much easier. I even thought about relocating to an Apartment with a short term lease that I could at least sleep and shower at. Eventually, I decided to move into a home I bought and the decision has rewarded me. I have saved money on storage units and down time during moves which have allowed me to be more productive and more focused. If you really want to flip homes for profit, don’t live in them. Find a permanent place of residence, get moved in, empty your storage units, and set up an office. I guarantee that you will notice the results right away.

There is no guarantee that you are going to find the ultimate home to flip and make 50K your first time around. But there are things you can do to make the process smoother. Relocating yourself from the rental property to a temporary dwelling is one of those things. If you are going to be doing the remodel yourself you need to be aware that having the ability to leave tools out and projects unfinished for days at a time is the norm. Living in a space while you remodel can be a major distraction. Find a comfortable spot to call home, buy, remodel, and flip!
